Pigeon and Turret Peaks are two wild and remote mountains in the Weminuche Wilderness, with no easy approach. I chose the shortest and most direct approach, which involved a train ride, followed by steep trail-hiking and off-trail bushwhacking to the North Pigeon Creek Basin. Pigeon Peak itself was a steep and fun climb, and Turret Peak was a memorable hike to a view that few people get to experience.Here is the full trip report.
